I guess this piece isn't so much about what I found as where I found
them. I was up in scenic Keansburg, New Jersey, for my dad's 50th, and after
about five more drinks than hours of sleep the previous night, I
stumbled off to the boardwalk. I set out with the intention of winning some fruity stuffed animal for Tron, but I didn't expect that she'd be winning me one instead. My family thought I was a complete fruit when I returned with
Sonic and Knuckles in tow. I just blamed it on the liquor.
Both plushes stand about 12" tall, but the ski-ball-type competition booth had two larger sizes available. I stuck with the smallest ones since they only cost $3 a pop with no one else playing. Both dolls are high-quality (especially considering most of the crap at boardwalk booths) and seemingly licensed by Sega, if you go by the tags. Keep an eye out at the beach this year as spring turns to summer. Although most of you are probably allergic to sunlight, anyway.
