Type: Sports Skill Level: N/A

Previously, we featured the first screens of Sega's inagural baseball title for the Gamecube platform, a game which faithfully recreates the atmosphere of Major League Baseball with unprecedented details.

Geared for release just in time for the baseball season, Home Run King is easy to grasp, regardless if you're a hardcore baseball fan or just an casual/arcade player at heart looking to have some fun without being overwhelmed with the nuances of simulation complexities.

Aside from the basic premise, players can also create an entire team of their own, using today's All-Stars. You'll also be able to create custom players or both using the Create-a-Team option, great for gamers looking to expand their gaming horizons and not be limited to simply playing with the MLB rosters. Home Run King includes several game modes, including Exhibition, Season and Playoffs. And of course, in line with the game's namesake, players can engage the Home Run Derby and compete against a friend or the computer in acheiving the most home runs! Sharpen those batting and pitching skills, Home Run King is scheduled to hit the field on the Gamecube in March 2002.
