To date, the Nintendo Gameboy Advance continues to grow in popularity and excel with a high grade library of titles. Featuring a range of action, adventure, and sports, this Fall, Majesco will step into the ring in its endeavor to be the first developer to deliver an action-packed boxing title.

Two weeks ago, we featured the first highlights of Boxing Fever, a game that's bound to appeal to avid boxing fans of the Punch Out demographic. Boasting a cartoon atmosphere and an innovative game that in similar respects to the NES classic, integrates skill and strategy-based boxing elements.

Boxing Fever is a new generation of small screen optimized boxing game that draws the gamer in by using large first person viewpoints to enhance gamer immersion. Through the first-person perpsective, players will need to hit the gym, and train intensively with the aid of a special robot trainer. Once a player has honed their skills, they can then move on to compete in five separate boxing championships. Tired of slugging around the computer? Grab ahold of the GBA link cable, and compete against a friend through five difficulty levels in multi-player mode.

While the game projects a cartoonish atmosphere, Boxing Fever aims to appeal to both younger and mature gamers, by combining humor and strategy elements. The individual boxing characters are differentiated not only by their look, but more importantly, by their AI personalities. It's almost like a tribute to the acclaimed Punch Out series! Majesco certainly appears to have a winning title on its hands, and with the fact that no other developer has a competing title in the works, Boxing Fever surely will pique significant interest to the GBA audiences.
