Thanks to the success of the Dave Mirra franchise published by Acclaim, the level of intrest is growing faster than probably anyone may have expected. As developer integrity begins to mature, the frequency of quality titles currently available or in the works has made the PS2 a more attractive platform to invest in. Scheduled for a 3rd Quarter release, Paradigm Entertainment is currently at work on MX Rider, a motorbike simulation geared to show off the graphic muscle of the PS2 and most importantly, deliver a balanced level of challenging gameplay elements for motocross fans. MX Rider will offer players an unrivaled riding senstation, thanks to the straight-to-the-action control, realistic bike behaviour, and an interactive, living race enviroment. About the only aspect that you won't experience is the mud on your shoes. Officially licensed by the Motocross World Championship (FIM: Fédération Internationale Motocycliste), MX Rider will feature more than 60 pro riders, complete with official teams and bikes. In addition, players will have plenty of challenge as they engage 16 World Championship circuits spread over 13 countries. MX Rider combines Motocross, Supercross and Freestyle for a complete motocross gaming experience that will appeal to both video game racing fans, as well as moto-racing fans. In order to offer the most realistic experience, MX Rider will place special emphasis on physics for superior handling, along with animated riders, dynamic tracks, team sponsorship offers and active background environments.
